Wirral History and Heritage 

We aim to increase awareness of Wirral’s historic environment and strive to improve access to Wirral’s unique history and heritage through providing information on the peninsula’s numerous historical, heritage and cultural societies/groups.

One of the most signifcant changes in society in the last 25 years has been a vast increase in the number of people who care deeply about the historic environment.  Three years ago the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral's Cultural Services department set up the Wirral History and Heritage Forum. 

Meetings have been held over the period and discussions have taken place on how best to set up the WH&HA which is now in operation as a completely independent organisation.
